EW exclusive! It's OCD woodpecker vs. hungry squirrel in sneak peek at next episode of Discovery series

Flowers, a brunch featuring eggs benedicts and mimosas, an ill-fitting spring sweater -- it’s Mother’s Day! Rather than bore you senseless with good movie mothers or create some awkward moments today with great movie mamas, we have compiled a list of 5 more of the worst movie moms. We began this endeavor a few months back with “5 Of The Worst Movie Moms,” and thanks to the holiday, we have an excuse to expand on the theme that may or may not make our mothers proud. From emotionally damaging to rising from the dead, these mothers are awful, horrible and terrifying, enough to spook you into making that dreaded weekly phone call to hear about your mother’s rhododendron and that darn squirrel that keeps eating all of the birdseed. Here’s to mothers and their ability to not turn you into a raging psychopath (we hope)! Margaret Wycherley -- "White Heat" (1949) A very involved mother, shady Ma Jarrett (Margaret Wycherley) spawned deranged gang leader Cody Jarrett (James Cagney). Along...

BREAKING: Open Road Films has acquired U.S. distribution rights to The Nut Job, a 3D animated family film. The distributor has set a January 17, 2014 opening date. The film features the voices of Liam Neeson, Katherine Heigl, Will Arnett, Brendan Fraser, Stephen Lang, Sarah Gadon and Jeff Dunham. It’s a comedy focusing on a squirrel and his rat friend as they plan a nut store heist. The film is directed by Peter Lepeniotis and scripted by Lorne Cameron and Lepeniotis, and based on the latter’s 2005 short film Surly Squirrel. It’s produced by Graham Moloy and WK Jung and the exec producers are Mike Karz and Bill Bindley of Gulfstream Pictures, Jay Ahn, Daniel Woo, Hong Kim and Tom Yoon, in a co-production between ToonBox Entertainment, Redrover Co., Ltd. and Gulfstream Pictures. The distribution deal was made between Open Road CEO Tom Ortenberg and Redrover president Hoe-jin Ha. Ortenberg called it “a smart, fresh and funny movie that family members of all ages will certainly enjoy.” Here’s a look at Lepeniotis’ original short Surly Squirrel that got this whole thing started:

Liam Neeson is already lending his voice to Warner Brothers’ Lego: The Piece Of Resistance. Now the Oscar-nominated actor who brought Aslan to life in Disney and Fox’s Narnia pics is joining the voice cast of the indie animation The Nut Job, the first feature from Canadian-based ToonBox and Korea-based Redrover, in association with Warner Bros.-based Gulfstream Pictures. Disney and Pixar veteran Peter Lepeniotis is directing the feature based on his own 1995 short Surly Squirrel from a script by Lorne Cameron (Brother Bear, Over the Hedge), about a mischievous squirrel who plots to rob a nut store with his rat friend Buddy. Neeson will voice the villainous Raccoon in a cast that includes Katherine Heigl, Will Arnett, Brendan Fraser, Stephen Lang, Sarah Gadon, and comedian Jeff Dunham. Thom Chapman and Graham Moloy are producing with Daniel Woo, Hong Kim, Mike Karz and Tom Yoon are executive producing in association with Gulfstream, which is also repping U.S. sales. The pic is currently in production aiming for a 2013 release. Neeson next appears in Universal’s Non-Stop with Julianne Moore. He is repped for animation and voiceovers by Arcieri & Associates.

The 2013 Oscars were last night and there is a lot to celebrate. There’s also a lot to ponder. We take a look at some of Oscar night’s biggest questions. 1. Why didn’t Channing Tatum strip? Yes of course the dance with Charlize Theron was beautiful but that wasn’t really what we wanted to see. And when we found out Joseph Gordon-Levitt was going to be part of the opening, we immediately had flashbacks to his SNL monologue where he got all Magic Mike on us. The show could’ve used more stripping, that’s all we’re saying. CHANNING TATUM AND CHARLIZE THERON'S OSCAR DANCE. AWKWARD OR HOT? 2. What year is it? Why so much Chicago? That was 10 years ago. We’re over it. We’re happy to see Queen Latifah because she makes things fun (and her standing next to Kristin Chenoweth in the pre-show was amazing). And yes Catherine Zeta-Jones was great. But Les Mis was enough musical stuff for this year. 3. Why was Jennifer Lawrence’s fall the most perfect thing she’s ever done? She’s kicked ass as Katniss, she skinned a squirrel, she made out with Bradley Cooper. And yet falling up the stairs to accept an Oscar only makes her more flawless. YOUR COMPLETE LIST OF WINNERS FOR THE 2013 OSCARS! 4. What did Tommy Lee Jones drink before the show to put him in such a great mood? He smiled. That's a great mood for him. 40 MUST-SEE DRESSES AT THE 2013 OSCARS 5. Why were the outfits during the Les Mis performance better than the ones the actors wore on the red carpet? They were saving the best for inside? THE BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS GOES TO... 6. Do all sound editors have long hair? There was a tie for Best Sound Editing between Zero Dark Thirty and Skyfall A TIE AT THE OSCARS!! HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED BEFORE? 7. Why didn’t George Clooney speak during the acceptance of Argo as Best Picture? Ben Affleck's speech was great and really all we needed, just seems odd that Clooney didn't try to get in a few remarks! THE 2013 OSCARS BEST PICTURE WINNER! 8. Why was Charlize embarrassed of that dance with Channing? Girl, own that! You know you rocked it! 9. Can Adele be our best friend forever? We love her more with every award show apperance (and win!). ADELE WINS AN OSCAR! SEE HER EMOTIONAL SPEECH 10. And speaking of best friends, what's Reese Witherspoon doing next? We miss her on the big screen! We know she had a baby and all, but get back into a charming witty romantic comedy role asap please Reese! RED CARPET CONFESSION: REESE WITHERSPOON'S LETTER TO NAOMI WATTS—READ WHAT SHE WROTE! 11. Is Daniel Day-Lewis funny? We had no idea but after the jokes during his Best Actor aceptance speech, we might need to get this man in a comedy NOW! CHERRIO BABY TATUM! CHANNING TATUM REVEALS WIFE JENNA DEWAN-TATUM WILL GIVE BIRTH IN LONDON 12. Why does seeing Bradley Cooper with his adorable mother make us melt into a puddle? Sigh. BRADLEY COOPER FINDS OSCAR EXPERIENCE 'SURREAL' 13. What was with the Jaws music? Did they want winners to run off the stage in fear? HELEN HUNT IN H&M GOWN? SEE REASON WHY... 14. Did Brandi Glanville stay in her dress all night? Is it possible? Can she recommend the brand of sticky tape she used? DID BRANDI GLANVILLE REALLY HAVE A NIP SLIP WARDROBE MALFUNCTION OT THE OSCARS RED CARPET? 15. Wait, did we love or hate Seth MacFarlane as host? He’s getting a ton of hate today. He was fine, right? Was he terrible? He's no Tina Fey & Amy Poehler, we all know that! SETH MACFARLANE KICKS OFF THE OSCARS WITH LOTS OF SINGING, DANCING AND FAMOUS FRIENDS 16. Why are people ever surprised the Oscars are boring? What did you expect to happen? They are the same every year. Some people win awards, some people sing, some people don’t win awards, it’s too long. Same thing. Every year. Who’s surprised? We all voluntarily tune in. if you want action, The Walking Dead is also on. Or Girls! You'll probably get to see some boobs! Don’t tune in to the Oscars for excitement. Well, maybe next year when Tina & Amy are hosting. OK!'S 2013 OSCARS HEADQUARTERS Did the Oscars leave you with any burning questions?
