Eva Mendes Wallpapers

Eva Mendes was born in Houston, Texas on March 5, 1978. Her parents are both Cuban and contributed to an interesting childhood that saw Eva move to Miami and then Los Angeles, when she was still a young girl. Despite the glitz and glamour of the Californian coast, Mendes (or Mendez, as she is sometimes credited) gravitated toward interior design and marketing, not Hollywood.
In fact, Mendes was majoring in marketing at California State Northridge and was comfortable with the direction her life was taking before fame struck. Her first taste of acting came when she appeared in a feature film to earn some money between university semesters, but opportunity struck when an agent noticed a picture of hers at the house of her photographer neighbor. Obviously, she had a certain je ne sais quoi because the agent convinced Mendes to stop studying and pursue acting full time

Interview: Justin Lin Talks Why Eva Mendes Didn't Come Back, And How Robert Altman Inspired 'Fast & Furious 6'

This weekend the sixth "Fast and Furious" installment, "Fast and Furious 6" (or "Furious 6" if you want to be really cool), races into theaters nationwide. This new film sees much of the cast from the original movies returning, with some notable additions (like Gina Carano from "Haywire") and an even bigger scale – one action sequence involves a tank, the other a runaway plane. And a little while back, we got to chat with director Justin Lin, who has shepherded the franchise since the third movie, "Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," transitioning it from a silly "Point Break" rip-off to one of the most consistently entertaining action franchises around. Lin told us how he has been mapping out the franchise since the beginning, what thoughts he has for James Wan (who will direct the next installment) and how Robert Altman was a big inspiration on this movie (yes really). Did you ever think, in your wildest dreams, that you were going to shepherd the franchise on after directing part...

Debut Trailer For Larry David/Jon Hamm Comedy 'Clear History'; HBO Pick Up New Mike Judge Comedy

“Adventureland” director Greg Mottola has made himself something of a second home on television. He spent the early part of the new millennium directing episodes of shows like “Undeclared” and “Arrested Development,” and last year he directed a few episodes of HBO series “The Newsroom” For his next film he’s stuck with the legendary cable network, delivering the comedy “Clear History” and a teaser for the film has arrived online. Starring Larry David, Jon Hamm, Bill Hader, Kate Hudson, Eva Mendes and Danny McBride, the mostly-improvised film follows David as “a hipster marketing exec who sells all his shares at a start-up over a fight with his boss, only to miss out on billions when the company’s new product -- an electric car -- becomes a smashing success.”  The teaser (via EW) is a paltry thirty seconds but it’s worth it to see David looking like . . . well, you just have to see it for yourself. Sticking with the tech world and HBO, Deadline is reporting that the...

Christopher Nolan Is Actually In Loose Talks About Directing The Next James Bond Film

Wow. Christopher Nolan's made no secret over the years of his love of the James Bond franchise; he named it as an influence on his first two "Batman" movies, directly paid homage to "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" in "Inception," and has often said that he's like to direct a film in the franchise at some point. But given that he's one of the few directors who could greenlight absolutely anything, we'd always wondered if it was something of a pie in the sky idea, despite his enthusiasm -- especially given that many, including Sam Mendes, talked about Nolan's influence on "Skyfall," the billion-dollar grossing last entry in the 007 series. Well, it seems like the idea of a Nolan-helmed Bond is one step closer to actually becoming a reality, as Baz Bamigboye is reporting that 'informal talks' have begun between Nolan's camp and Bond producers Eon about the "Dark Knight" director potentially directing the 24th James Bond film. Some might be skeptical, given the report's origins in the...

Chris Pine & Jake Gyllenhaal Cast As The Princes In Rob Marshall's 'Into The Woods' With Johnny Depp & Meryl Streep

Stephen Sondheim has never been an easy sell on screen. The Broadway composer's work is complex and rich in a way that doesn't easily lend itself to big-screen transitions, and outside of early work like "West Side Story" and "Gypsy," few of his shows have made it to the big screen, "A Little Night Music" and Tim Burton's "Sweeney Todd" being the major exception. Given its fairy tale subject matter, "Into The Woods" always seemed like one of the more obvious contenders to make it to the movies, with Steven Spielberg, Sam Mendes and Penny Marshall among the filmmakers who've flirted with the idea in the past. But with fairy tale movies hot, and "Les Miserables" proving a giant hit, now seems like the perfect time for it to happen, and musicals specialist Rob Marshall is currently prepping an adaptation of Disney. While it might be more commercial than, say, "Pacific Overtures," the material still presents some difficulties in selling to wider audiences, but Marshall seems to be...
