The Art Directors Guild (IATSE Local 800) will highlight the sci-fi work of members in a special exhibition at the Peninsula Museum of Art running this summer, the ADG announced today. The Art Of Science Fiction will feature 150 paintings and drawings by production designers, art directors, scenic, title and graphic artists, set designers, illustrators, matte artists and digital artists from the ADG ranks. Sci-fi properties from film and TV represented include Real Steel, the original Tron and Tron Legacy, Avatar, Men In Black, 10,000 Days, Dr. Who, Firefly, Serenity, and the Star Trek franchise. The exhibit runs from June 9 to August 25 in Burlingame, CA.

Here's a guide to what to do during your trip to Barbados—whether you're on a budget or able to live it up like a star.

Where To Shop: A trip to the capital Bridgetown is a must where you can get all your souvenirs, be among the locals and buy fresh fruit and wares from Bajan vendors.
Where To Hang Out: South of the island is a place called Oistins which is a must-go at the end of the week for the Friday Night Fish Fry. Locals and tourists mingle as everyone tucks into the best catch of the day while having a Banks Beer, listening to tropical sounds of reggae and soca music while sitting outside in the balmy evening warmth. Bliss.
What To Do: Barbados has a plethora of attractions on the tiny 14miles x 21miles island. It is the birthplace of rum so going to a factory to see how it is made is always a delight. It's natural beauty can be seen by of course, going to one of the many amazing beaches, and also attractions like Harrison's Cave.
Where To Dine: Bajan cuisine has African, Caribbean, West Indian and European influences. One of the best places to dine is Champers where you can eat while looking out to the sea watching the sun set. Packed full of amazing fish dishes, the Parmesan Crusted Barracuda or the Cajun Mahi Mahi are favorites.
Where To Spa: If Sandy Lane isn't an option to stay, it is definitely the place to go to get pampered for the day. Their spa facilities are second to none and include hydrotherapy treatments, oriental steam baths and they use treatments from around the world.
Where To Party: Barbados has a multitude of activities going on throughout the year including the yearly carnival, Cropover, The Jazz Festival and Reggae Festival but on any given night you can take a stroll down St. Lawrence Gap where you will be spoiled for choice with different bars and clubs and there's always a beach party going on.
