Relive All The Performances From The 2013 Billboard Music Awards

Let's be real. When it comes to the Billboard Music Awards, it's all about the performances. Basically 97 percent of tonight's show was when one was happening. So here we are, recapping the whopping 17(!!!) performances that took place on the #BBMA stage. Which one was your favorite and least favorite? Recap them with us here, in order of appearance, and we'll remind you of the night's best (and not so much) moments. Leggo... Photos: Best Dressed of the 2013 Billboard Music Awards First things first, Bruno Mars kicked off the show with his song, "Treasure." New single, perhaps? It was perfectly Bruno in every way, aka it was super vintage and we liked it. Next up was Selena Gomez, who basically did her MTV Movie Awards performance of "Come & Get It" over again but in a gold dress instead of a red one and with toilet paper hanging from the ceiling. It was curtains but like, it looked like toilet paper. Then was The Band Perry for all those country fans. They sang "Better Dig Two" and as per usual, Kimberly killed it. At 8:30, we were only a half hour in but already four performances strong. Yup. Icona Pop performed "I Love It." We've loved that song forever but it's nice to finally put two faces to the Swedish duo who sings it, ya know? Next up? Chris Brown. He actually sung live tonight, so gold star for Breezy. He sounded, looked, and danced like Michael Jackson throughout the entire performance of "Fine China," so gold star there too, we guess? Then, it was across the strip to Macklamore and Ryan Lewis. Obvs they sang "Thrift Shop," and obvs everyone in the audience knew every. Single. Word. Circa 9pm, Taylor Swift showed everyone how it's done, performing "22" for the very first time on TV. And she started off backstage and then made her way onstage with approximately 7,000 backup dancers and singers. SUCH a production, and SO T.Swift. Amazing. Taylor is a tough act to follow, but next up was newcomer country singer Kacey Musgraves, who sang her song, "Merry Go 'Round." We kinda like this girl. At this point we're about halfway through the show and Justin Bieber takes the stage! He performed "Take You," a song voted on by his 30 million+ Twitter followers, and he wore a one-sleeved leather jacket. Pretttty sure he lip-synched the chorus but don't quote us on that. Moivng right along, Pitbull and Christina Aguilera (who showed off her new sexy bod) performed "Feel This Moment" and it was great. Then some guy named Morten Harkat joined them on stage and that...was a buzzkill. At a quarter to 10, Miguel took the stage. He wore a white suit, did some splits, and OMG, those vocals. Were. Amazing. And then Chloe Moretz presented her "friend," Ed Sheeran. Since when are they friends? In other news, he sang "Lego House." He is so talented it's not ok. Then, immediately following Ed, Pitbull came back to the stage and joined Jennifer Lopez for "Live It Up." And that they did. 10:15 pm, Biebs is back! He and will.i.am perform #thatpower." It was good, very techno-ish, and Biebs was wearing the same black leather thing as before but this time with leather accents. Then, it was getting late (10:30, aka bedtime) so the strobe lights came out, as did David Guetta,  Ne-Yo and Akon. Their performance was fun and was pretty much a dance party. One of the night's last performances was Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, and we forgot what song they were singing because all we were doing was staring at Nicki's butt as she gave Weezy a lap dance. Just another night on national television, you guys. And then? OMG, PRINCE, PEOPLE! He got a solid 12 minutes of the show dedicated just to him and his awesomeness, and clearly he was the perfect way to end it. And a perfect way to end this post. Good night, ya'll! OK! Cannes: Wrekin Hill Acquires U.S. On Gabriele Salvatores’ ‘Siberian Education’ With John Malkovich

Wrekin Hill Entertainment acquired U.S. rights to Gabriele Salvatores’ Siberian Education. Based on the novel by Nicolai Lilin, with a screenplay by Sandro Petraglia, Stefano Rulli and Salvatores, the film stars John Malkovich, Arnas Feravicius, Vilius Tumalavicius, Eleanor Tomlinson, Peter Stormare, Jonas Trukanas and Vitalji Porsnev. Set in the ghetto of Soviet Russia, Siberian Education follows the path of two boys who are members of a gang of exiled Siberians. The best friends grow up together, mastering a unique education focused on illegal arts such as theft, banditry and weaponry. Their clan has its very own stringent code of honor, which, while criminal, sometimes actually coincides with what is generally considered ethical and moral. It is a code that must never be broken, no matter what. As the boys turn to men, everything they have come to know and learn is tested. The film’s produced by Catteya’s Riccardo Tozzi, Giovanni Satabilini, Marco Chimenz, and executive produced by Gina Gardini. The deal for the film was negotiated by Rene Cogan and Alex Mandell for Wrekin Hill with WestEnd Films on behalf of the filmmakers. WestEnd is handling international sales on this title. Cannes: Phase 4 Acquires Lucy Walker’s Sundance Docu ‘The Crash Reel’

Phase 4 Films has acquired U.S. and Canadian rights to The Crash Reel, which follows the different paths taken by childhood friends and rivals Shaun White and Kevin Pearce. HBO, which helped finance the film, retains U.S. TV broadcast rights to the pic, which weaves 15 years of verite footage with a soundtrack that includes music from Chemical Brothers, Underworld, and Moby and chronicles Pearce’s long road to recovery. It premiered this year at Sundance. Oscar-nominated Lucy Walker (Waste Land, Devil’s Playground) directed, wrote the script with Pedro Kos and produced with Julian Cautherley. HBO’s Sheila Nevins executive produced. Phase 4 plans an early winter 2013 theatrical release. The deal was negotiated by Phase 4′s Larry Greenberg and Sam Posner with Andrew Herwitz at The Film Sales Company on behalf of the filmmakers.
