Tonight is the end of season 9 of Grey's Anatomy, and it is going to be huge. Meredith is giving birth, via c-section, in a blackout, because it wouldn't be a Grey's episode without something out of the ordinary going on during a monumental moment like that one. Meanwhile, Dr. Shepherd is afraid that he won't be able to be a surgeon anymore after the hand injury he sustained in the crash, but his sister donates a nerve so now he's all better. Oh right, and Meredith and Derek got the news that she is pregnant, and then more recently found out that they're having a boy. Zola's going to be a big sis! Arizona is still reeling from the crash too because as a result she had to get her leg amputated. This severed her relationship with Callie and she didn't go back to work for weeks, until she finally gets a prosthetic and gets back to normal. Now, these two are (mostly) good. Cristina Yang decides to do her fellowship in Minnesota, but after her mentor (played by Mr. Feeny!) there died and she realized she was traumatized by planes, she moves back to Seattle and takes back her job. When Seattle Grace learns that they have to cut costs which means firing staff and closing their ER, the five doctors who survived the crash (Callie, Arizona, Derek, Meredith and Cristina) decide to buy the hospital back with all the money they won from the lawsuit. Catherine Avery's Harper Avery Foundation gives them that extra benefactor that they needed and so now both Avery and his mom are on the board of the hospital. Awkward, because wasn't Avery an intern like, yesterday? Speaking of Avery and interns, he's shacking up with Stephanie, while Alex Karev, meanwhile, is basically falling in love with another intern, Jo. April, meanwhile, still probably loves Avery, but in the most recent episode she gets engaged to her EMT boyfriend Matt, who dumped her for a little while because she wasn't a virgin even though she said she was. Yup. Other things to know? Richard's wife Adele passes away on Miranda's wedding night (she still got married though), Owen gets really attached to the child of two sick patients and considers adopting him, and Arizona cheats on Callie with a hot lesbian doctor (played by Hilarie Burton!).
