
It's only just Monday morning, and here we are to throw a fun, distracting spanner in the works of your productivity. An online collection of rare, incredibly fun behind-the-scene photos has been doing the rounds this morning (h/t to @nevpierce and @katbrown82), featuring 100 stills from the sets of 100 of the greatest and most famous films in history. There's nothing brand new here, but the archive, painstakingly assembled by joinyouinthesun, is full of gold from the sets of everything from "Frankenstein" and "The Dark Knight Rises." Wow. Christopher Nolan's made no secret over the years of his love of the James Bond franchise; he named it as an influence on his first two "Batman" movies, directly paid homage to "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" in "Inception," and has often said that he's like to direct a film in the franchise at some point. But given that he's one of the few directors who could greenlight absolutely anything, we'd always wondered if it was something of a pie in the sky idea, despite his enthusiasm -- especially given that many, including Sam Mendes, talked about Nolan's influence on "Skyfall," the billion-dollar grossing last entry in the 007 series. Los Angeles-based Inception Media Group has acquired film sales company Strategic Film Partners for an undisclosed price. Deal was announced at Cannes on Thursday.
