Jordin Sparks debuts bangs this week during the Crystal Light Liquid launch held at Maritime Hotel in NYC. “I’m not used to the bangs yet, so I keep blinking,” the American Idol, 23, who is dating singer Jason Derulo, tells me. “I wanted to try something different for the summer.” OK! Somebody was just like ‘oh my God, it’s like Michelle Obama.’ I wasn’t even thinking that, but it’s a different version of her hair. She pulls it off, so I’ve got to try and have that confidence with it.” OK! (No women have taken the title since she won in 2007!) Is she on Team Candice Glover or Team Kree Harrison? OK! She’s absolutely fantastic.” She continues, “I usually don’t pick favorites because I don’t like to show favoritism, but Candice is just incredible. She’s absolutely incredible, and I would gladly give her the crown of being the next girl, for sure.” Post-interview, Jordin hosts the world’s largest group game of Words With Friends. Fun times! As for the bangs? It was a short-lived look—she loses the fringe the following day at the Music Biz Awards, and also Saturday when she performs at Wango Tango in California. Oh well! Now that Barbara Walters announced her retirement today on The View, she is getting ready to end an occupation that has served her well for more than 50 years. The thrice-wed TV icon, 83, shared her secrets for excelling in the workplace last month during the Time 100 Gala in NYC.  OK! She’ll retain her executive producer role on The View. OK!
