After months of virtual silence on Spike Jonze's long-awaited next film "Her," there's been a relative flurry of activity in the last 24 hours. The sci-fi romance, which stars Joaquin Phoenix as a man who falls in love with his operating system, has been under radars until now, but hot on the heels of the announcement that the film's release date, Warner Bros have spilled the beans on two previously unrevealed cast members on the project (which shot last year). According to the studio, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Pratt are both in the cast, joining Phoenix, Amy Adams, Rooney Mara, Samantha Morton and Olivia Wilde. For Johansson, it's the latest smart choice on the top of Jonathan Glazer's "Under The Skin" and Jon Favreau's "Chef" to counterbalance her superheroic duties on "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "The Avengers 2," while it's another marker in the ascendance to stardom for Pratt. The actor's spent the last couple of years balancing brilliant comedy in "Parks...

Of the three big superhero movies this year, "The Wolverine" might well be the least anticipated at this point. "Iron Man 3" had the heat off "The Avengers," and has already made a billion dollars, while "Man Of Steel" has a reboot, the Christopher Nolan factor and some pretty amazing trailers. Whereas while James Mangold's film is from the longest-running superhero franchise currently going (it's thirteen years since Hugh Jackman first donned the claws), it's coming off two sub-standard films in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and "X-Men: First Class," and it's reflected in the relative lack of buzz for the film. That said, it doesn't arrive until the end of July, so Fox have plenty of time to correct that, and the new trailer that just arrived should help quite a bit. It's not wildly different to what we've seen so far, but it takes its time a little more, and feels a bit more muscular and confident as a result, particularly with some of the dodgy effects from previous promos seemingly...

We're now a month away from seeing "Man Of Steel" on screens, and there's still several ways it could go. We could be looking at a "Batman Begins," a film that revives the franchise and goes on to bigger things. We could be seeing a "Superman Returns," one that pretty much stalls the DC hero and leaves it needing another reboot. Or we could be looking at something huge, an "Avengers" style hit. The trailers have been strong, the buzz good and screenings should be underway in a few weeks. Until then, to tide us over, a new featurette on the film has arrived, courtesy of Walmart of all people (they're sponsoring a series of early screenings the day before the movie opens; you can find out more here). There's a fair bit of new footage, as well as slightly puff-piece-y input from Zack & Deborah Snyder, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Laurence Fishburne, Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe and more. You can watch it below, and see the film in theaters on June 14th.
