Though he didn't end up winning Best Animated Feature for "Frankenweenie" last night, Tim Burton still found a way to beam himself into millions of homes over the weekend. The quirky director took his quirkiness and used it to help sell mobile phones in a new ad for the Samsung Galaxy S II. The spot finds Burton agreeing to direct the movie adaptation of a viral mobile game "Unicorn Apocalypse," and has him pitch and hear ideas about how the story will be brough to the big screen. It's actually pretty decent and clever, and works because it's not outside the realm of possibility of something Burton would actually do. But as the ad shows, even Burton has his limits when it comes to tackling truly oddball stories. Give it spin below. [THR]
