Filed under: Sedan, Performance, Chevrolet 2011 Chevrolet Cruze - Click above for high-res image gallery General Motors has been looking for ways to capitalize on the investments made in its platforms by increasing the number (and retail price) of the vehicles sharing them. Hence, reports of the next-gen Camaro sharing its platform with the upcoming Cadillac ATS and CTS successor. Now reports suggest that the General is hoping to capitalize on the Delta platform by creating more aggressive, sportily-minded variants of the Chevrolet Cruze. One option, according to the report in Motor Trend, would be to build a four-door coupe based on the Cruze. The idea would follow the same formula that took the Volkswagen CC and Mercedes CLS up-market from the comparatively humble platforms (Passat and E-Class respectively) on which they're based. The wheelbase and much of the mechanicals would carry over, but a more rakish roofline would give it a sportier profile, at the expense of rear headroom. Another option fielded once again would create a Cruze SS, with more aggressive suspension and an upgraded 2-liter turbocharged engine. The potential application of all-wheel-drive from the larger Epsilon platform, meanwhile, could be used to aid traction. Either option could stand to bridge the gap between the Cruze and the Camaro. But while the options are presented as "either or", would it be too much to ask for both? Filed under: Aftermarket, Sedan, Japan, BMW, Infiniti, Jaguar, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Luxury Porsche Panamera with body kit by Wald International - Click above for image gallery Tuners typically roll out one package at a time. When a big tuner show like SEMA comes around, maybe a couple at a time. But Japanese tuning firm Wald International is launching five body kits for some of the most desirable top-of-the-line luxury sedans, all at the same time. Included in Wald's plans are aero kits for the Rolls-Royce Ghost, Porsche Panamera, Infiniti M, Jaguar XJ and BMW 7 Series. Throw in a Quattroporte, Mercedes CLS, maybe a Bentley and the Aston Martin Rapide in there and they'd have the whole kit and kaboodle covered. Not much in the way of details available as of yet on this quintet of modified luxury wheels, but from the looks of it, each has been lowered and mounted with new front fascias, side skirts and big ol' alloys. Check 'em out for yourself below. Filed under: Marketing/Advertising, Videos, Hyundai Hyundai Super Bowl commercials - Click above to watch both videos after the jump The Super Bowl is still a few days away, but Hyundai has decided to reveal both commercials it will be airing during the game. One is called "10 Years/Favre" and features none other than Brett Favre, the aging-though-still-excellent quarterback who didn't make it to Miami this year after his Vikings lost to the Saints in the NFC Championship game. The commercial fast forwards 10 years where a 50-year-old Favre is accepting an MVP award and still pondering retirement. The point: 10 years from now your Hyundai will still be under warranty (at least the powertrain). The second commercial, called "Paint," highlights the 14-step painting process for the new 2011 Sonata. It ends with the bold proclamation, "Better paint quality than Mercedes CLS550." Both commercials are voiced by actor Jeff Bridges, which must've cost the Korean automaker a pretty penny along with signing the NFL's most durable quarterback. Oh, and then there's the actual cost of buying a commercial spot during the Super Bowl, and Hyundai bought two. Who had a good 2009? Hyundai did. Follow the jump to view both commercials for yourself.
